Building Health Literacy among Elementary School Students: Promoting Clean and Healthy Living During Pandemic Covid-19

Abstract
Building clean and healthy lifestyle is not a one day training, but this habit should be instilled since childhood. During Covid-19 pandemic, a clean and healthy lifestyle is an important factor to support personal healthy status. Elementary school children are one of society members who are very susceptible to this disease. The issues of personal hygiene and healthy lifestyle are two main reasons for conducting this activity for school kids. The objective of the program is to build health literacy of school children living in Tatah Mesjid Village by not only giving health information but increasing their interest in reading, writing and their creativity. To attract children’s motivation, the program was delivered using posters where children can color caricatures with the theme of clean and healthy lifestyle. From this activity, the students said they were happy because they could learn more about health, especially when the information delivered through fun games. Overall, the students understood the material given indicated by their antusiasm being asked several questions regarding the topic. The expected final outcome of the program is that health quality of school children can get improved during the Pandemic.
