Love Writing Though Poetry Creation In Fourth Grade Students to First Grade

Abstract

Writing skills have an important role in a person's life. Skills in writing are a requirement for participating in activities in various fields. writing activities are able to train his ability in expressing creativity, pouring ideas and remembering events that have been experienced into writing. This method of community service is carried out in the fourth grade of SDN Batakan 1, Panyipatan sub-district, Tanah Laut Regency with samples of 10 students and carried out for 4 meetings from coaching to procuring poetry writing competitions. The method of community service is to approach the fourth grade children of SDN Batakan, then hold a poetry creation competition with the system being carried out in their respective homes. Poetry writing competition activities are carried out by surveying, preparing a few materials and poetry samples, asking them to create poetry, giving prizes to participants and winners. Based on the results obtained, students are able to express ideas and be able to pour their complaints and dreams into writing. It can be seen how changes in the level of writing ability, where they are only able to make diction or vocabulary that is not yet diverse. In addition, they also began to be creative in expressing ideas and ideas about what they wanted to do in the future, it was seen from how positive the contents of the poetry and diary contents they had written.
