Health Education of Making Hand Sanitizers as an Effort to Prevent the Spread of COVID-19 Virus

Abstract
Infectious diseases have become the leading cause of death for millions of people. Like now, the world is being shaken by the outbreak of the COVID-19 disease. The new adaptation pattern by carrying out clean behavior and healthy living, washing hands with soap, avoiding crowds, using masks or face shields, are quite effective ways to prevent the transmission of the Corona virus. In addition, the use of hand sanitizers can also minimize transmission of the virus to others when hand washing facilities are not available outside the home. Besides being easy and practical to carry anywhere. The purpose of this activity was to provide education and provide information about hand sanitizer and how to make a hand sanitizer that complies with World Health Organization (WHO) standards independently at home. The method was used online through social media such as Instagram and YouTube, and distributing brochures to the community around the village during the Posyandu. The result of this activity was the community understands how to make a hand sanitizer by following WHO standards.
