Education the community on how to use and remove medical masks in Tinggiran Baru Village in an effort to prevent the spread of Covid-19

Abstract

The spread of the Covid-19 virus has become a concern for the community, including the area in Tinggiran Baru Village, Mekarsari District, Barito Kuala Regency One way to slow the spread of Covid-19 is by always wearing a mask when doing activities outside the home But in reality there are still many people who carry out activities outside the home without wearing a mask or wearing a mask but are placed on the chin without covering the nose and ears. Therefore, there is a need for educational efforts on how to use and remove medical masks properly and the use of masks to slow the spread of the Covid-19 virus. The purpose of the activity is to increase understanding and knowledge about how to use and remove the correct mask. The methods used in this service are carried out in both online and offline forms. Which is the online method using social media in the form of Instagram and Yuotobe, and the offline method by conducting direct education with the community in Tinggiran Baru Village, Mekarsari District. The result of this educational activity is that the public gets an understanding of the importance of using and removing medical masks properly. This activity performed well and received a positive response from the local community
