Abstract
The Independent Real Work Lecture (KKN) of Muhammadiyah University of Banjarmasin with the theme Optimizing Education and the Economy during the 2021 Pandemic was conducted by group 6 in Sungai Gempa Village, Surgi Mufti Village, North Banjarmasin District. The activities in the implementation of this Community Service Program cover several fields including health, education, economics, etc. As for one of these fields, namely the field of education has triggered the author to hold activities in educational optimization. Mathematics is an extension of finger mathematics learning, meaning that this mathematics learning activity is carried out using fingers. In this activity the authors limit the material to only the multiplication of 2 to 9 using 10 fingers without the help of any writing tools. This mathematical activity includes two ways, namely the multiplication 2 to 5 calculating the multiplication by using the multiplication of each segment of the fingers while the multiplication 6 to 9 calculates the multiplication using the open finger as tens and the closed finger as the unit value. The hope is that this activity will be able to support activities in optimizing education in order to improve people's numeracy skills easily and quickly in arithmetic subjects such as mathematics.
