Effect Of Education And Socialization About Cholestrol To Residents of Sungai Pitung

Abstract
Currently there have been health problems shift from infectious disease to disease degenerative. The cause is thought to be due changes in lifestyle, diet, factors environment, lack of physical activity and stress factor. Lifestyle lack of activity, eating too much food contains fat as well lack of fiber intake can trigger degenerative disease. Degenerative disease which pretty much affects the numbers sickness and death are diseases cardiovascular, one of these diseases is cholesterol.
Socialization is needed to increase public knowledge about blood cholesterol levels in an effort to prevent further effects of cholesterol disease. The methods used were socialization, education with an observation approach, leaflet distribution and interviews with the people of Sungai Pitung Village. Alalak. Then in several places, such as village information boards, leaflets were posted on the importance of controlling cholesterol levels.
From the results of the socialization carried out, the majority of people still do not understand what foods can reduce cholesterol levels, with this socialization the increase in public knowledge about how to reduce cholesterol and find out the levels of fat in food.
