THE AWARENESS-RAISING PROGRAM ON HOW TO WASH HANDS PROPERLY AS AN EFFORT TO PREVENT THE SPREAD OF COVID-19 IN TATAH BELAYUNG

Abstract

Corona virus disease (Covid-19) is an infectious disease caused by the recently discovered corona virus. Covid-19 became a pandemic throughout the country and was first discovered in Wuhan, China at the end of December 2019. During the Covid-19 pandemic, the importance of cleanliness is one of the factors that support the health aspect. Prevention can be done one of them by washing hands properly and correctly, counseling is carried out at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Darun Nasihin, Tatah Belayung RT.21 No. 04. The purpose of this activity is to raise awareness, broaden children's knowledge and understanding about the importance of washing hands properly and properly to protect themselves from various kinds of infections and dangerous diseases. Using the method of community service activities, namely by means of counseling or lectures and practices carried out in schools. With this proper and correct hand washing method, it is hoped that children can continue to apply it in their daily lives. The results of this activity are children who apply how to wash their hands and understand the importance of washing their hands properly and correctly after activities have increased, especially when the Covid-19 pandemic was 75% seen from them practicing it in the future in front of their other friends so that it can be concluded that this activity is running smoothly.
