Abstract

The Corona virus pandemic has caused many changes in everyday life. Phytobiotics have bioactive compounds, are non-toxic, free of residue and as additional feed ingredients and can streamline the use of food substances. One of the herbal plants that can be used as a phytobiotic is ginger (Zingiber officinale). The phytochemical content of ginger is flavonoids, alkaloids, phenolics, tripenoids, essential oils, glycosides, saponins, steroids, terpenoids.Ginger is useful as an antimicrobial, antioxidant, antifungal, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory,as an immunomodulator.The results obtained, residents of Pantai Hambawang Village received information about the red ginger drink.The conclusion is that residents of the coastal village of Hambawang can take advantage of nutritious plants around the Village of Pantai Hambawang and apply the method of making red ginger drink that can be consumed alone.
