Stress Coping Strategies to Boost Immune During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) require people to carry out activities in their respective homes and all activities are carried out online (Nasruddin, 2020). This led to major changes in people's lives. Adapting to changes that occur in carrying out new daily activities is not an easy thing to do. Difficulties in dealing with these changes can increase stress (Aufar, 2020). According to halodoc.com, stress on a person will automatically change the way the immune system works. Stress can also reduce the body's resistance to disease in the form of decreased cells that are tasked with fighting disease and difficult to heal. Excessive stress or walking for too long will make the body tired and eventually weaken the supply of adrenaline and lower the immune system. . To overcome the symptoms of mental and physical health during the current pandemic, special treatment is needed, namely stress relief or stress coping. Coping is a condition or condition of a person experiencing stress and requiring personal abilities and support from the environment to go through it (Rasmun, 2004 in Aufar, 2020).
