Distributing masks in the public to break the chain of the spread COVID19, Log Baintan Village

Abstract

The higher the spread of Covid-19, the Indonesian government has set steps and efforts to prevent the Covid-19 pandemic, one of which is by campaigning for Social Distancing and complying with health protocols. The call for wearing masks and complying with health protocols when doing activities outside the home is still ignored by some residents of Lok Baintan village for various reasons. Residents still don't understand the importance of wearing masks to break the chain of spreading COVID19. The purpose of this service is to prevent and break the chain of transmission of Covid-19 in Lok Baintan Village. This Community Service, which was held on September 4, 2021, was carried out in the form of socializing the use of masks and distributing masks for free to residents of Lok Baintan Village. The method used is a door to door system to minimize and avoid gatherings to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus. in its implementation experienced several obstacles such as residents refusing to be given socialization or understanding the importance of wearing masks, the researchers would provide little by little information on this socialization in simple language that was easily accepted. that wearing a mask is not only for traveling but also to protect yourself and those around you from the spread of the covid 19 virus
