Counseling Regarding What Plants Can Be Used As Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) As One Of The Efforts To Prevent Covid-19

Abstract

The trend of "back to nature" cannot be separated from the weaknesses of synthetic medicine, including side effects caused by expensive synthetic drug prices for those who have a low economy, so for alternative knowledge of natural ingredients that can be used as medicine (living pharmacies) For the community, information related to plants that can be used as medicine is very useful for the community. In Terantang village, this service is very, very less related to the TOGA plant that is in the neighborhood of the local residents' homes, also knowledge about the types of family medicinal plants (TOGA) and the use of plants that have medicinal properties are also lacking. The solution offered to overcome this problem is to provide knowledge about the types of family medicinal plants (TOGA) that can be used for health, one of which is as an effort to prevent Covid-19 because it can increase the immunity of the surrounding community. This activity is in the form of outreach to the community and also distributing leaflets related to information related to the types of plants that can be used as medicine. This counseling was carried out to increase the knowledge of the Terentang village community in the use of TOGA for health. This activity was carried out by delivering materials and distributing leaflets. This outreach program was received with great enthusiasm by the community around the village. This counseling can be useful to increase the knowledge of the Terantang village community regarding the use of TOGA.
