Abstract

Covid-19 is a new type of disease that is becoming a pandemic, this disease must be watched out for because of its relatively fast transmission and high mortality rate. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic which has not yet ended, traditional medicine is an alternative that can be used by the community to break the chain of transmission and maintain body immunity. Rhizome-type medicinal plants such as ginger, turmeric and temulawak can increase immunity, because they are known to contain secondary metabolites such as gingiro in ginger and santoriso in temulawak which can boost the immune system. This activity aims to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the community in Antasan Kecil Timur Village. This activity has 3 stages starting from making a poster containing an explanation of what types of rhizomes can increase immunity and a recipe for making immune-boosting herbal drinks then distributing the poster through Instagram social media accounts and conducting brief counseling to residents of RT.02 Antasan Kecil Timur Village. It is hoped that this activity can help in breaking the chain of transmission of the Covid-19 virus.
