Education On The Manufacture Of Natural Hand Sanitizers from Betel Leaf (Piper betle L.) In An Effort To Break the Chain of Spread of the COVID-19

Abstract

At the beginning of 2020, the world was shocked by the outbreak of a new virus, namely the new type of coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) and the disease is called coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). It is known, the origin of this virus comes from Wuhan, China. Found at the end of December in 2019. Lack of knowledge, public awareness about the importance of using hand sanitizers during a pandemic like this and the lack of hand sanitizer sales places prompted me to do this activity which aims to broaden the knowledge of the surrounding community, increase awareness and invite the public to the importance of using hand sanitizer. hand sanitizers as well as providing an understanding of how to process natural hand sanitizers from betel leaves as an effort to break the chain of the spread of COVID-19. This activity is carried out using two methods, namely door to door by demonstration and social media. The results obtained were seen from the questionnaire after the counseling that the residents of the middle Pemangkih village already knew the benefits of betel leaf and already understood how to make natural hand sanitizer from betel leaves
