Abstract

There is still a lack of available blood bags, especially during the pandemic, causing a decrease in blood bags in blood banks. The lack of public interest and the high fear of transmission due to the Covid-19 virus as well as less of information about blood donation caused this to happen even though blood bags were needed for patients, specifically in an emergency. Therefore, it is necessary to circulate information about blood donation to the public and social media is chosen as a place to distribute information because nowadays social media has become part of people's lives. The method is done by making posters, making online forms and interviews. 7 days after the form was published, 73,7% of people were interested in donating blood. Increase the public's desire to donate blood after the information was shared to social media.
