Teaching English Vocabulary Using Visual Media Regarding Hand Washing for Children

Abstract

English has become an international language that is almost used in life in all fields. Teaching children English is very important because it can hone children's ability to solve problems, think critically, and listen well. At the time of the COVID 19 pandemic as it is now, it is very important to teach children to maintain a healthy lifestyle and one of them is by teaching children small habits to wash their hands properly and diligently. The purpose of this activity is to introduce to children what English is, which is done by educating children on how to wash their hands properly and correctly. The target of this activity is 15 children in Sungai Lumbah Village who are about 5-14 years old and are divided into 7 boys and 8 girls. This activity method uses visual media or images which can help attract children's attention. The result is that children become more familiar with English and can say some of the vocabulary and they can practice how to wash their hands properly and correctly.
