ROAD DAMAGE IDENTIFICATION IN RT.9 BERANGAS BARAT VILLAGE AS THE BASE FOR DEVELOPMENT PLAN

Abstract
The village road is a connecting road between locations within the village itself, which is intended to facilitate the mobility of the population in terms of social growth so that the standard of living of the population increases. The problems that occurs in Indonesia today are that many urban village roads are damaged. One of which is Berangas Barat Village, RT.9, Alalak Subdistrict, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan, where the asphalt surface of this road is stripping and there are also pothles. Therefore, the identification of road damage is carried out as a form of community service by conducting observations or surveys to determine the type of damage and the amount of road damage in the Berangas Barat Village, RT.9. Then the results of the survey were analyzed theoretically. Final result of this community services has identified 90% of the road damage was stripping and the potholes was 10%. Total length of the damage road is 302 metres. The product of this community service was a booklet which can be used as the supporting data for local government in making Berangas Barat’s development plan in the future. With those kinds of damages, the road can be repaired within 10-15 days.
