Early Marriage Issues During the COVID-19 Pandemic

Abstract

Early marriage also as a child of the marriage, the marriage under the age of 19. In Tanipah Village the number of early marriages tends to increase during the COVID-19 pandemic. There are many risks of psychological and psychosocial problems for those who marry at an early age. Actuality and early marriage are a violation of human rights. Psychologically tend to experience depression, anxiety, and mood disorders. Early marriage is also prone to suicide attempts and post-traumatic stress disorder which is accompanied by psychosocial problems. Psychosocial problems that often occur are abilities that are still inadequate in carrying out roles as husband or wife, as well as roles as parents. This community service activity fosters the psychological influence of the local community on early marriage. There seems to be an early marriage intention to be used to reduce Psychoeducation. The method applied is psychoeducation with leaflets as media regarding the psychological effects of early marriage. The result of this program, based on observations during program activities, was the enthusiasm of the participants.
