EXPLANATION ABOUT GOOD AND CORRECT INDONESIAN LANGUAGE AT A MINIMUM AT A PUBLIC PLACE TO MADRASAH ALIYAH NURUL ISLAM STUDENTS

Abstract

Community Service at the University of Muhammadiyah Banjarmasin in Bangkit Baru village, Mandastana sub-district, Barito Kuala Banjarmasin Regency, carried out one of the individual work programs in the form of outreach activities "Getting used to speaking good and correct Indonesian at least when in public places". Considering the low culture of getting used to speaking good and correct Indonesian when in public places among rural communities, especially teenage students, especially Madrasah Aliyah Nurul Islam because they are already accustomed to their mother tongue or first language, namely their own regional language and also the emergence of slang influences in the community. among teenagers who are the result of modification of the Indonesian language. This activity aims to motivate students to remain accustomed to using Indonesian language at least when in public places and to foster students soul to maintain good and correct Indonesian language. The Activity Method using stages; Observation to school, preparation, implementation and evaluation. Meanwhile, the delivery of extension materials used a question and answer session, quizzes and gift giving. The results of the activities achieved were that students were enthusiastic in participate in activities and gave positive respons, starting to understand how important it is to maintain and get used to good and correct speaking Indonesian as Indonesian citizen at least in public places.
