Flood Response House Design in Tatah ALayung Village

Abstract

As a result of increased rainfall and the presence of flooding from Banjar Regency, it affected several villages in Mandastana District, Barito Kuala. A number of the most direct village road points are the village of Tatah Alayung. Where nearly 70 percent of the residents' houses were flooded to a height of 1 meter. some residents fled to a higher place near the village, by taking emergency shelter, avoiding the threat of flooding in the form of animals such as snakes. Because residents do not dare to enter the house, and choose to live on the terrace of the house.Floods are an annual disaster that occurs in the village of Tatah Alayung, so residents have to evacuate to higher places, also to avoid threats from animals that can threaten the safety of residents.One of the responses to this problem is to design flood-responsive houses, whose main function is to minimize soil erosion that can exacerbate flooding. The design of flood-responsive houses can also reduce residents' awareness during high tide, and can prevent residents from dangerous threats. The stilt house is a safe solution to this problem.
