MAP MAKING VILLAGE BORDERS AND BORDERS OF NEIGHBORHOOD TO KNOW THE AREA TO THE COMMUNITY OF JARANG KUANTAN VILLAGE, AMUNTAI SELATAN SUB-DISTRICT, HULU SUNGAI UTARA REGENCY

Abstract

A map is a conventional depiction of the earth's surface either partially or completely on a flat plane with scales or symbols affixed. Village maps usually contain the location or location of village facilities, roads, rivers and hamlet boundaries or the surrounding environment and village boundaries. Jarang Kuantan Village has the problem of village maps that have been made by village officials taken from google maps, making it difficult for village officials and the community to see village boundaries, boundaries between neighborhoods and what the village looks like from above. Jarang Kuantan Village is located in Amuntai Selatan District, Hulu Sungai Utara Regency, South Kalimantan Province. For the creation of a map of the neighboring village boundaries, a survey was conducted using the Google Maps application to retrieve points on the map according to the direction of the village apparatus and from the map made by the North Hulu Sungai Statistic Agency, which is provided by village officials, while the village boundary map is taken from the GDAM. Making maps of neighbors and village boundaries is done with several applications, namely ArcGIS for map digitization, SAS Planet for satellite imagery, Google Maps for easy field coordinate retrieval. Making maps was carried out in approximately eleven days, digitizing itself was carried out for ten days using ArcGIS.
