POST FLOOD DISASTER COUNSELING IN SOUTH KALIMANTAN TO REDUCE THE PSYCHOLOGICAL IMPACT OF FLOOD VICTIMS

Abstract

A disaster is a series of events that disturbs and threatens the livelihoods and lives of the surrounding community which are caused by natural, non-natural, or human factors that cause human lives, damage to the environment, loss of property, and psychological impacts. Apart from natural events that occur every day, there are other natural events such as landslides, hurricanes, floods and volcanic eruptions. Natural disasters that occur always result in the loss of human life, environmental damage, property loss, and have a psychological impact. This writing is compiled using the library research method. The psychological impact of natural disasters can be identified based on three factors, namely the following: Pre-disaster factors, disaster factors, post-disaster factors. Implementation of traumatic counseling in reducing the psychological impact of victims of natural disasters, namely; 1. The initial stage of counseling, 2. The middle stage of counseling, 3. The final stage of counseling.
