Main Article Content
Abstract
Antioxidants are compounds that have a function to combat the harmful effects of free radicals. Free radicals can occur due to several things, such as smoke, dust, air pollution, the habit of consuming instant food that is not balanced between carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Antioxidants can improve the immune system or immune system, and inhibit the growth of cancer cells. There are two types of antioxidants, namely natural antioxidants such as fruits and plants and artificial antioxidants. Many research results show that fruits have excellent antioxidant activity including blueberries, dragons, guava, soursop, manganese, starfruit, oranges, strawberries, salak, avocado, rambutan, apples, bananas, cherries, mangosteen, kiwi, grapes and tomatoes. Before discussing, we must know what the immune system is or what is often called the immune system, which is the body's first line of defense against various germs that cause infection. The immune system or immune system has a very large role in the defense of the human body to avoid exposure to viruses and bacteria. Without an immune system, the body will be very susceptible to attack by germs, parasites, or viruses. The immune system is the most important role to fight attacks from various types of viruses and bacteria, so that the body remains in a fit condition and is not easily exposed. In the human body there is an immune system or immune system, the immune system is divided into several types, for example: the innate immune system, the adaptive immune system, and the passive immune system. A pandemic is an epidemic that can infect one person to another, which occurs simultaneously everywhere, covering a wide geographical area. A pandemic is also an epidemic that spreads to almost all countries or continents, usually people who have a weak immune system are affected.
