Abstract

Covid-19 is a new disease that has become a pandemic, this disease must be watched out for because of its relatively fast transmission, and has a mortality rate that cannot be ignored. So far, the number of cases of COVID-19 continues to increase, Cases in South Kalimantan have confirmed 56,409 positive, recovered cases reached 43,330 people and cases died 1,680 people. This case is expected to continue to increase if public awareness in compliance with health protocols is not implemented. in addition to preventing 5M, we need efforts to improve the body's immune system, because viruses can enter the body if our immunity decreases. one of them uses an herbal plant, namely red ginger because it is easy to obtain and has a fairly high antioxidant content.The purpose is to increase the knowledge of the surrounding community, increase awareness and invite the public to the importance of maintaining the body's immune system by consuming ginger and understanding the processing of ginger products.The method used in this activity is counseling about ginger and the appearance of making powdered herbal herbs from red ginger in the form of videos. This has received a good and positive response from the Sei Tandipah village community because it is very useful for increasing the immune system in the current pandemic season and being able to find out about how to make herbal powder from ginger for the prevention of covid-19. In conclusion, the implementation of community service is effective for improving the immune system and preventing COVID-19.
