Anticipate the Prevention and Transmission of Covid-19 by Providing Education Regarding Covid-19 to Children in Tinggiran Tengah Village

Abstract

The purpose of this community service is to provide education to children about Covid-19. Education is one of the efforts to prevent the spread of Covid-19, by providing education so that children can understand what is meant by Covid-19 and the dangers of the virus and it is hoped that children can apply health protocols such as using masks and others. The use of masks is also an important component in efforts to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. The method used in this activity is educating children directly face to face but still complying with health protocols. The implementation of the activity was attended by 16. This activity was held at the House of the Head of Middle Tinggiran Village, Mekarsari District, Barito Kuala Regency using leaflet media. And the average pretest result of children who answered correctly was 3.7. The results of this activity made the children understand the importance of complying with health protocols, understanding what is meant by Covid-19 and the dangers of the virus to health. With this activity, it can increase children's knowledge about Covid-19 and children become obedient to health protocols.
